Exclusive - Hyundai LPG Eon caught on test

As you can see from the images below in our reader sent Kaushik, Hyundai is testing the LPG output from Eon. Our long-standing supporters will remember our posts right from the middle of 2010, the speculation on the dual-fuel variant is next to the gasoline engine on launch day.

This is unlikely, but the LPG variant appears to be close. Note the "Blue Drive" badge on the front lights of this test mule. Blue-drive Hyundai's way to say BlueMotion or PUREDrive. It means Hyundai environmentally friendly technologies and environmental protection by cars that pollute less, they consume.


It is rumored that Hyundai is working on an LPG kit for i10 for the good part of 2011, which could be introduced in 2012. During setup of a car running on LPG, there are several technical challenges to overcome, and the checklist must be thoroughly cleaned to ensure there is no security niggles. The i10 and Accent LPG as the Santro variants will be a factory installed type.

Hyundai launches the Eon 3cyl tomorrow with a 814cc gasoline engine with 56 PS@5.500 min and 75 Nm at 4,000 revolutions per minute. Eon is expected to be between 2.5 to 3.5 lakh rupees will be ready to set off firecrackers priced much before Diwali.
