Nissan has decided to improve the energy efficiency of its new models using different technologies and progressive elements. The Japanese manufacturer has recently introduced some new improvements in their car models at a car show in Japan. The Nissan Altima sedan is the first car to be released with some of these components improved.

The Altima sedan was previously equipped with the transmission mechanism Toyota Hybrid. Nissan Motors USA has improved and this will be the first in-house front wheel drive train mechanism in the hybrid car model later. The next Altima will also feature the transmission continuously variable transmission for efficient power to the wheels.

According to Nissan, Infiniti M hybrid, which has a rear-wheel drive was the source of test for the mechanism of enhanced powertrain. The new models will be powered by a 2.5 liter four-cylinder coupled with a supercharger and the hybrid powertrain will consist of a motor and two clutches.
The current model of the Altima is not the compressor and therefore generates less power than the newer model. The next generation of hybrid cars Nissan will combine the power of the electric motor and the motor to the transmission Xtronic Continuously Variable (CVT) to achieve better fuel efficiency.

Nissan Motors said they will continue to develop and integrate technologies for fuel efficiency in their future endeavors.

Nissan to introduce security features on its high-tech new models

Nissan Motors have worked hard to improve the safety equipment provided with their cars to reduce the damage caused by accident. Nissan has developed new innovative technologies that can help correct the mistakes of the driver that lead to car accidents. Some of them are predictive collision warning system before the multi-sensor system with rearview camera, removing acceleration pedal misapplication. All these features help to prevent accidents by helping drivers in various ways.

The Predictive Collision Warning system before keeps track of speed and distance of vehicles ahead of the car. If the driver goes too fast then the system signal to the driver that the car needs to be slowed down and automatically tighten the seat keeps belt. The is given in the form of a buzzer, and the screen display . Nissan developed the system to avoid accidents that occur frequently pile.

The multi detection with the backup camera was provided to warn the driver of a possible collision with other vehicles, obstacles and people on the sides and rear of the car. It will also give relevant information on road conditions around the car.

The last feature of the repression of acceleration pedal misapplication is particularly useful in confined areas where accidents are often caused due to pilot error by pressing the accelerator pedal instead of the brake. The Around View Monitor collects images of four cameras and processes the data to recognize if the car is on the road or parking. The cameras also effectively sense of obstacles and apply the brakes if a collision seems imminent.

Nissan Motors has revealed that these special safety features will be provided with all new vehicles next year. They also said that more effort should be made in these security systems to make them more effective.

Nissan Almera was launched in Thailand

Nissan launched its second eco-car in Thailand after March, which is also the first eco-car sedan body in the market. Almera appointed, he returned to a name used by Nissan in Europe for its station wagons. If it sounds familiar, the Almera Thai is what we know that the new Sunny, the large sedan segment B which made its world debut in Guangzhou last year.

Built on the platform also used by V the tailgate in March, the Almera is great for a car body to the Vios / City segment, a similar approach chosen for the Latio sedan, although the Almera / Sunny is more streamlined shape (Cd 0.29). It is 4425 mm long, 1695 mm wide and 1500 mm high, while the wheelbase is 2600 mm a ruling class. Nissan claims that rear knee room at the D segment, and having sat in the front, I agree. The boot space is a large 490 liters.

The Almera comes with a rear spoiler (with brake light LED), fog lamps and chrome grille and door handles. Available kit includes instruments Fine Vision, MID, direction buttons, climate control and the Intelligent Key with push button start.

The Almera, like Mars, is powered by the 1.2-liter HR12DE 3 cylinder petrol engine. This 12-valve unit equipped with CVTC makes 79 hp and 106 Nm at 4400 rpm and is mated to Nissan Xtronic CVT gearbox or a five-speed manual in the base grades. This effective, lightweight (weighs between 962 and Almera 1027 kg) package is stimulated by Tech Start-Stop to deliver the fuel demanded 20 km / l and low CO2 emissions of 120 g / km.

Note that this transmission is different from China's Sunny spec, which comes with a bigger engine HR15DE. A more effective package is required to comply with the Thai eco-car rules. The Almera also sports a black interior instead of beige.
The Almera / Sunny is one of Tan Chong's future plans, although no one knows what will be called here. Click here to read our coverage of the world premiere of Guangzhou, and display a complete resolution Hi gallery.

L.A. auto show: Nissan Quest back after a year off, rested and ready to roll

Nissan debuted its new 2011 Quest minivan at the Los Angeles auto show, with a host of innovative features.

"It's all about the interior," executive vice president Carlos Tavares said.

That's good, because the exterior of the old one looked a little too much like the shuttle craft from the original "Star Trek." The "bold, sophisticated, modern" exterior of the new van takes most of its cues from the Forum concept van of 2008, a handsome styling job shown at Detroit that year.

Interior features of the 2011 Quest include rear seats that fold forward and flat, even in the third row. That gives it the best cargo capacity in the segment, Nissan says, since most competitors' seats either come out or fold into the floor. The Quest's seats can't be removed but Nissan says that the fold-flat configuration added an extra 40 quarts of space and a two-inch-lower step-in height.

Other inside features include second-row power seats, a removable second-row console and power-sliding side doors and windows. There is even a storage well in the rear.

The 3.5-liter V6 sends 253 hp and 236 lb-ft of torque to the front wheels through a continuously variable transmission. The Quest does not have cylinder deactivation like the Honda Odyssey minivan, but Nissan claims its CVT--if hooked up to competitors' V6s--would increase the fuel-economy numbers of those engines. So there.

The Quest rides on a version of the Altima/Maxima platform, with struts in front and a multilink rear.

The base sticker price will be $27,750, including destination, when it goes on sale in early 2011.
